Who Provided Knicks' Jalen Brunson's 'Coolest' All-Star Experience?

One particular celebrity encounter left New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson starstruck.

Jalen Brunson has found a pretty good day he wouldn't mind living over and over and over ...

Brunson is back with the New York Knicks after his first All-Star Game experience, taking in nearly everything the hardwood showcase had to offer over the weekend. Upon Brunson's return, Peter Botte of the New York Post noted that the point guard was asked about the "coolest" moment of the weekend.

Surrounded by basketball royalty during his stay in Indianapolis, Brunson said the best moment came when he got to meet a man who partook in but a single documented basketball game ... one alongside Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes, to be precise.

"The one thing that stood out, I bumped into Bill Murray," Brunson recalled in Botte's report. "I didn’t know it was Bill Murray at first, and I was like, ‘Oh snap, that’s Bill Murray.’ That was really cool. We had a nice little conversation."

Brunson had previously documented his meeting with Murray on his Instagram story, including the "Groundhog Day" star in his montage of All-Star moments alongside Luka Doncic, Sabrina Ionescu, Candace Parker ... and, of course, his wife Ali.

A cameo as himself in "Space Jam" (which also featured Knicks legend Patrick Ewing) is just one of many forays in sports comedy for the lauded actor Murray, an Illinois native who was frequently seen courtside throughout All-Star Weekend's events. The 73-year-old's filmography also includes humorously athletic turns in "Caddyshack" and "Kingpin," well-regarded fare among golf and bowling enthusiasts respectively. Murray has been a staple at Midwestern sporting events, particularly those starring the Chicago Bears, Bulls, and Cubs.

Both Brunson and Murray will have a hand in saving New York this spring: Brunson is expected to be one of the headliners of the Knicks' upcoming playoff run while Murray will return to his renowned role of Peter Venkman in "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire," which hits theaters March 22.
