With yet another title added to his expansive resume, New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson has proven to be the shooting star to breaking the metropolitan mold.

Having already added "NBA All-Star" and "podcaster" to his particular set of skills over the past week-plus, Brunson can also apparently place "slam poet" on that illustrious list as well: Brunson opened up an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" by embarking upon a spoken word version of the millennial hit "All-Star" by Smash Mouth.

The introduction was part of a segment known as "Jimmy's Special Requests" in which Fallon acquiesced to a fan wish for him to combine NBA All-Stars, poetry, and Smash Mouth. Fallon then invited Brunson to pull off the "dramatic spoken word reading," drawing huge cheers from the New York-based crowd.

Brunson was invited to Studio 6B in Rockefeller Center off the heels of his first NBA All-Star Game nomination, as he's set to rep the Knicks at next weekend's festivities in Indianapolis. The point guard and Villanova alum is set to partake in both the main event as well as the Three-Point Contest.

His second season with the Knicks has seen him set career bests in scoring (27.2 points per game) and assists (6.5) while guiding Manhattan to its most promising season in over a decade.

Time will tell if Brunson is able to partake in one of the Knicks' final pre-All-Star excursions, as he's listed as questionable for Saturday's visit from the Indiana Pacers (7:30 p.m. ET, MSG) thanks to an ankle injury sustained in Tuesday's win over Memphis.
