How To Watch the NBA All-Star Game, Featuring Knicks' Julius Randle
New York Knicks representation at the NBA All-Star Game? Only one guy can Randle it.
Julius Randle is back in the Association's annual exhibition and gathering of its finest, set to partake in Sunday night's main event on a team captained by either LeBron James (LA Lakers) or Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee). Randle previously appeared in the 2021 edition, getting 13 minutes for a team led by Kevin Durant. A fantasy-style draft will commence about an hour prior to tip-off.
It has already been a busy weekend for Randle and his Knicks teammates: he placed seventh in the 3-Point Contest while Jericho Sims was the third-place finisher in the Dunk Contest that followed. Quentin Grimes fell just short of MVP honors with 27 points in the two legs of the Rising Stars competition though his team fell just short in the final round.
What: The 2023 NBA All-Star Game
Where: Vivint Arena, Salt Lake City, UT

He Said It
"Charles Barkley maybe. He was great, obviously, but I think he was kind of before his time, too. So maybe Charles. (Michael) Jordan, obviously. Who wouldn't want to play against Jordan?"-Randle on which NBA All-Stars from any era he'd like to play with, per transcripts.
“He’s made the game really easy and simplified it for me ... I really credit that to Johnnie … When the coach gives you a green light like that, I work extremely hard at it. There’s no hesitation, for sure.”-Randle on how assistant coach Johnnie Bryant helped him get his All-Star groove back, per Fred Katz of The Athletic
Great Knicks Performances of All-Star Past
1955: Playing in front of his home crowd at Madison Square Garden (the third edition closed in 1968), Harry Gallatin had a double-double in an Eastern Conference victory, scoring 14 points and hauling in 13 rebounds.
1970: Months before his famous Game 7 entrance, Willis Reed gave the Association a hint of the elite performances to come with a 21-point, 11-rebound output en route to MVP honors in the East's 142-135 victory in Philadelphia.
1975: As the most recent Knick to win MVP, Walt "Clyde" Frazier was the difference in Phoenix, serving as the East's leading scorer by far with 30 points and four steals in a 108-102 triumph.
1994: Patrick Ewing had 20 points and eight rebounds before he appeared in the 1994 NBA Finals, his efforts in relief being second to only Scottie Pippen in the East's 127-118 win in Minnesota.
