Should Mitch ditch the New York Knicks? It'll apparently take a hefty asking price.

A report from Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo! Sports that the "asking price" on a potential trade involving New York Knicks big man Mitchell Robinson is multiple first-round picks. The statement has drawn a polarizing response, with some detractors believing that Robinson is far from drawing such a sacrifice, especially when a majority of his offensive work comes under the basket.

Robinson himself, who has made no secrets about his desire to be a bigger contributor on offense, has responded to the rumors through Instagram comments, replying to a post content creator "KnicksFanTV" discussing the reported ask.

"You win some you lose some it at always home runs and that's just the way life plays," [sic] Robinson wrote. "Look at it like I do. At the end of the day, it's a business I don't look at this as a punishment or what s*** change in this league maybe it was something I did or they just wanna change game play oh well it's life god has blessed me with the biggest opportunity I will ever have in my life I will always be thankful no matter what happens for the (ones) that know me know I'm not trippin' at all I just go with flow [sic[."

For the record, there doesn't appear to be any indication that Robinson is indeed on the trade block. The Knicks are a small team as is even with the seven-footer in tow and it's probably unlikely he'd be included in a trade for, say, Jrue Holiday.

Robinson has been the Knicks' primary center for the past three seasons and has been serviceable enough, pulling in just under 8.4 rebounds a game in that span. But one have criticized Robinson for apparently demanding a larger role in the Knicks' offense when a majority of his shot attempts come from no further than five feet from the basket. Robinson also appeared to be frustrated that Isaiah Hartenstein seemed to have the finishing minutes in the interior.

While Robinson appears to be venting more frustration, it seems fair to expect to see him in the starting lineup come the team's opener against Boston in less than a month.
