Lakers Injury Report: 4 Sacramento Players Shelved Vs LA

A tandem of play-in contenders squares off at Crypto.com Arena.

Your 34-29 Los Angeles Lakers are just an hour away from squaring off against the 34-26 Sacramento Kings in what promises to be a ferocious bout between a pair of Western Conference play-in prospects.

Sacramento will be playing with close to a full deck, with only incidental injury-related absences.

According to the NBA's latest injury report, two-way players Jalen Slawson and Jordan Ford are playing with Sacramento's NBAGL affiliate, the Stockton Kings.

Two rookies on the club's 15-man standard roster are also away from the franchise. Shooting guard Colby Jones, the No. 34 pick in this year's draft out of Xavier, is on assignment with Stockton. Only one contributor to the club is absent. First-year power forward Sasha Vezenkov is out with a right ankle sprain. Across 12.6 minutes per bout, the 6'9" pro is averaging 5.6 points on .448/.380/.769 shooting splits, 2.5 rebounds and 0.5 steals a night.

Sacramento will enjoy a significant health edge over Los Angeles. The Lakers will be missing at least three contributors in point guard Gabe Vincent, forward Jarred Vanderbilt, and big man Christian Wood (plus two-way player Colin Castleton) due to injury, and could be without All-Stars Anthony Davis and LeBron James and small forward Cam Reddish, too.
