Lakers Injury Report: All-Star Will Sit Vs Jazz Tonight

Why this might be a mistake.

Your Los Angeles Lakers will be right back at it tonight, following a 125-111 blowout over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.

But not everybody who partook in that beatdown will be donning the purple and gold against the Utah Jazz.

Per Jovan Buha of The Athletic, All-Star power forward LeBron James will sit out this matchup, presumably in anticipation of All-Star Weekend activities.

Los Angeles backup point guard Gabe Vincent (left knee effusion recovery), power forward Jarred Vanderbilt, along with reserve small forward Cam Reddish and backup second-year shooting guard Max Christie, are all out of commission until at least next week.

The 20-time All-Star had a solid run against an 8-45 Detroit club last night. In just 30:42, James notched a Lakers-most 25 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field (3-of-6 from long range) and 7-of-7 shooting from the foul line, along with eight assists and a steal.

Davis scored 20 points and pulled down 14 boards, blocked six shot attempts and dished out four.

Los Angeles has improved to a 29-26 record and sits three games above .500 for the first time in two months. LA is now just three games behind the New Orleans Pelicans for LA is now just three games behind the New Orleans Pelicans.
