Lakers Injury Report: Darvin Ham Offers Intriguing Update On Cam Reddish

Will LA's starting shooting guard suit up after a week off?

Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Cam Reddish seems to be on the mend from a lingering groin/adductor injury. He's officially probable to suit up for this afternoon's forthcoming road clash against the 2-15 Detroit Pistons.

That said, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register writes that head coach Darvin Ham has revealed some relatively good news on the Reddish recovery front. Ham notes that Reddish will most likely be able to return to the hardwood for Los Angeles.

The 6'8" vet, selected with the No. 10 pick out of Duke in the 2019 NBA draft, has bounced around the league a lot across his five pro seasons. After stints with the Atlanta Hawks, New York Knicks, and Portland Trail Blazers, he inked a one-year, veteran's minimum "prove it" deal to join the 17-time world champs. His defensive assets and acumen quickly earned him an elevated role in Ham's lineups.

Reddish initially moonlit for the absent Jarred Vanderbilt as a multifaceted power forward, before eventually earning the starting two-guard nod over incumbent Austin Reaves, whom Ham demoted in large part to create some separation from D'Angelo Russell.
