Lakers Injury Report: Final Availability Of LeBron James, Anthony Davis Vs Bulls

Will LA's top two players compete tonight?

Your Los Angeles Lakers have revealed the final statuses of their All-Star frontcourt, as well as some critical backups.

Per Jovan Buha of The Athletic, Los Angeles has indicated that power forward LeBron James (left calf contusion) and center Anthony Davis (left ankle sprain/bone bruise), both of whom had previously been merely questionable to play against the Chicago Bulls tonight, will indeed don the Purple and Gold this evening.

Needless to say, their availability now makes LA (15-12 on the year) clear favorites to snag a road win against the ascendant Chicago Bulls who, though they're just 11-17 on the season thus far, have gone 6-3 since their most expensive player, Zach LaVine, was benched with right foot inflammation. The 6'5" ex-UCLA swingman is on the shelf till mid-January when, not coincidentally, he can be traded for pretty much anyone around the league.

Why, he could even be traded for Rui Hachimura, D'Angelo Russell and/or Austin Reaves at that point, all of whom become trade-eligible on January 15th...

Interesting.

But we digress.

Power forward Jarred Vanderbilt and point guard Gabe Vincent will also play, Buha adds. Head coach Darvin Ham had previously let slip that Vincent would suit up a little earlier this afternoon. Only rookie guard Jalen Hood-Schifino, who's not a part of the team's actual healthy rotation, will sit out with a low back issue.
