Lakers Injury Report: Latest On Draymond Green’s Starting Status Vs LA
With the Golden Statte Warriors on the slate tonight, your Los Angeles Lakers have some favorable matchups offensively, given that Golden State has a subpar defense, as players like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in particular are no longer the defensive players that they were years ago.
Draymond Green on the other hand, still adds value on that side of the ball, as he's a versatile defender that can guard both LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
He's been coming off the bench as of late, but here's what Jovan Buha of The Athletic recently reported on the matter:
Per Warriors coach Steve Kerr, Draymond is back to being able to start, but he's yet to disclose whether or not we'll be seeing that tonight.
Whether he starts or not, however, expect a healthy dose of him, as he's their only real hope defensively against the two-man tandem of Davis and James.
In their last game, which was a loss to the Sacramento Kings, Green played 31 minutes, far more than starters Dario Saric (20 minutes) and Kevon Looney (16 minutes), suggesting that Green coming off the bench isn't impacting his playing time, the team's rotations, etc. too heavily.
