Lakers Injury Report: LeBron James Questionable For Showdown With Timberwolves

LeBron could miss his birthday game.

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to secure their first back-to-back wins since earlier this month when they dominated during the In-Season Tournament. Injuries have been the major cause of the team's up-and-down 2023 campaign, and tonight's game will be no different. 

Despite the game serving as what could be a birthday win for LeBron James, he is now listed as questionable for tonight's contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

James has been listed as questionable relating to a non-COVID illness. We are unsure what this sickness is, but the wintertime is generally when most people get hit with the flu. 

James could theoretically still step onto the court if he is dealing with the flu, and have his own "flu game." However, he may also want to rest up and allow himself not to worsen the sickness. 

Losing James would be a huge hit to the starting squad. The Timberwolves boast a 13-1 record at home, so the Lakers will need all the help they can get to ensure they come away with the victory. 

Time will tell what happens with James' availability, but he may not suit up tonight. The Lakers might want him to rest up for when they take on New Orleans on New Year's Eve.
