The Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies had some first quarter fireworks in Tuesday's In-Season Tournament game.

At around the five minute mark of the first quarter, tempers flared as Anthony Davis and Santi Aldama got tangled up. Davis ended up shoving Aldama to the floor, before players on both teams got involved in a mini scuffle. Take a look at the video for yourself:

The referees spent a couple minutes at the monitor, before assessing five technical fouls on the play.

Four players — Davis, Aldama, Desmond Bane and D'Angelo Russell — received technicals, as did Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins.

Ja Morant, who's currently serving a 25-game suspension to open the season, reacted to the scuffle on Twitter with a simple emoji:

We still have over three quarters to go in this In-Season Tournament game, so expect some more chippy play as the game goes on. With four players receiving technical fouls, let's hope we don't see any ejections — at least on the Lakers side of things.

Cam Reddish and Marcus Smart Injury Updates

Amid the chaos of the scuffle, it flew under the radar that Cam Reddish went to the locker room. Reddish got hit in the face, and was being checked out after that play. However, he's back on the bench and cleared to return.

As for Smart, he was carried off the court with an apparent injury he suffered just minutes after the scuffle. Let's hope the injury is not as bad as it looked.

UPDATE:

Marcus Smart is doubtful to return with a left ankle injury, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
