Lakers News: Anthony Davis Reacts To LA's Shaky Reincorporation Of LeBron James
Your 37-38 Los Angeles Lakers fell yesterday afternoon to the 36-38 Chicago Bulls at Crypto.com Arena, despite the return of All-Star small forward LeBron James to their lineup for the first time in a month.
Following the game, LA center Anthony Davis explained what went wrong in the 118-108 loss, and sounded optimistic about how the team intends to reincorporate James into the lineup down the home stretch of the 2022-23 regular season.
"Didn't take care of the ball," James offered. "18 turnovers, 34 points (scored off turnovers). It'll be hard to win basketball games like that. Give them credit, [they] shot the ball really well. Guys we wanted to shoot made shots. We didn't make shots, obviously. Getting 'Bron back, trying to get back in the swing of things for him, for us as a unit."
When asked how the team intends to rework James into its attack through these final seven regular season games, Davis expressed his confidence they could make it work.
"He’s good enough, we’re good enough to kinda figure it out on the fly," Davis said of the team's hope to get James back into the swing of their approach. "I think we’ll be fine for sure. We've just got to come out and continue to play on both ends of the floor like we did the past couple of games, with whoever's in the lineup.”
LA will have a shot at redemption against this same Bulls team on Wednesday in Chicago.
