The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to be one of the more active teams in this week's trade deadline. After a tough up-and-down season, Los Angeles is looking to solidify their roster for the postseason.

They have been connected with multiple names across the board, including a few All-Stars. But one name sticks out for this team, and that would be Tyus Jones from the Washington Wizards.

According to NBA Insider Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, the asking price for Jones may be lower than teams think. He says that it will likely take multiple second-round picks to land the point guard.

"While the Wizards have stated an asking price to inquiring teams of a first-round pick for floor general Tyus Jones, rival executives have indicated a confidence that Washington will ultimately be willing to move on from Jones for a package of multiple second-round picks."

Per Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports

If Jones can be had for multiple second-round picks, the Lakers should jump all over the chance to land him. While he is scheduled to be a free agent, he could easily help Los Angeles this season and possibly beyond.

Jones is one of the better backup point guards in the entire NBA, and he has made his mark for years. He would be an absolute steal for the Lakers down the stretch, and they could use him to fill the role that Gabe Vincent was supposed to play.

In 49 games for Washington, Jones is averaging 12.2 points, 6.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He is also shooting 39.2% from beyond the three-point line as well, something that the Lakers desperately need help with.

Jones won't solve all the issues for the Lakers, but it's a start. He would be a solid get for this team and greatly help them down the line.
