Your Los Angeles Lakers' surprise run to the Western Conference Finals as a 43-39 seventh seed last spring kicked off in ferocious fashion with a matchup against the third-seeded Memphis Grizzlies.

Granted, the Grizz were missing two of their top four big men, including starting center Steven Adams, but the team was also just roundly outplayed by a chippier Los Angeles team.

LA shooting guard Austin Reaves discussed just how sweet it was to end the Grizzlies' 2023 season recently.

Reaves appeared on the Full Send Podcast to tackle a variety of topics, and made a point to mention how glorious it felt to vanquish the chirping Grizzlies during the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

"All of Memphis, honestly, their whole team talks s***," Reaves divulged. "It felt good beating them in the playoffs... I think at the end of the day everybody knows we're still grown men out there, [you] can't really go call somebody something wild."

Across that round's six games, the 6'5" swingman out of Oklahoma averaged 16.5 points on .447/.344/.833 shooting splits, 5.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.5 blocks a night, while playing 36.4 minutes. Los Angeles wound up making it all the way to the Western Conference Finals last year, where it lost in straight games to the eventual title-winning Denver Nuggets.
