Austin Reaves Teases an 18th Lakers Championship Soon in New Highlight Reel

Laker for life?
In this story:

The rise of Austin Reaves was one of the most incredible storylines within the Los Angeles Lakers' 2022-2023 season and the fact that he got his money and will remain in purple and gold for at least three to four more years means all the dominos fell into place. Lakers fans did not have a lot to smile about in the first half of the season but those that paid close attention did notice how Reaves was finding a more comfortable role within the squad every day and he went from a player that just made big plays every now and then to someone that could consistently be drawn up plays for.

And if we're talking about the road he took to get here, talk about going from an undrafted player who spent four seasons in college to a legitimate third option on a Western Conference Finals squad behind only LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Reaves put up about 17 points and five assists in all 16 postseason games the Lakers stayed alive for and everybody could see how important his presence was.

But the entire Lakers organization has known winning for a long, long time and making the WCF wasn't enough. Bringing back the 6'5 guard was part of a bigger vision along with other free agency moves to improve LA's roster so they could shoot for a championship next season and it's safe to say AR is fully on board.

Not too long after news broke the Reaves would be returning to the Lakers, he took to Instagram to share a mixtape of some his best plays ever since joining the franchise two years ago and at the end a Lakers-themed logo appeared with the number 18, teasing a potential 18th ring for LA on the way.

Have a look for yourself!

Eight more wins and that trophy would have belonged to the Lakers last season. It's time to get it done this time around!
