Beloved Ex-Laker Still Balling Post-Retirement

Good to see that he still loves the game!
In this story:

Prior to LeBron James and Anthony Davis coming to the Lakers, the organization was surrounded in some dark days. The team missed the playoffs for six straight years and things looked bleak. It got really tough during the 2015-2016 season when the team won only 17 games. It was hard to watch at times but in all honesty, some of the more fun Laker teams came from the struggles.

They had all sorts of players wear the purple and gold during that time. LA had some fan favorites come through and even though the team didn’t win, they are still held in high regard.

One of which was former Lakers guard Nick Young or Swaggy P, as his nickname was. Young played four seasons for the Lakers and was apart of those struggling teams. But he never let it get him down and always came to work with a smile and good attitude. He made the tough times bearable due to his personality and he quickly became a fan favorite.

Young left the NBA after the 2018-2019 season, when he played only four games with the Denver Nuggets. But he is still playing basketball and seems to still have his jump shot down.

During his time with the Lakers, Young was one of the few bright spots. His best year with the team came in the 2013-2014 season when he averaged 17.9 points and shot 38.6 percent from behind the three-point line.

He was never an All-Star level player, but he had some good moments in the NBA. Some fans may remember him for the infamous three-point miss where he believed he had hit the shot, turned around to gloat, only for it to bounce off the rim. But this was Swaggy P and he was always himself.

It’s cool to see him still playing basketball and while his NBA career may be over, his love of the game will never goes away.
