Lakers Betting Odds: LA Looking To Take Full Command Of Series Tonight In Memphis
It's time for a very optimistic edition of our Betting Odds series ahead of the second game in your Los Angeles Lakers' 2-7 matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies.
All today's numbers arrive via odds aggregator The Action Network.
The Game Spread
The Lakers are actually favored to win tonight, albeit by just one point, as the status of All-Star Memphis point guard Ja Morant remains somewhat up in the air. The fact that it's just a point shows that Vegas oddsmakers aren't taking a pretty deep 51-31 Grizzlies team at home lightly, and still believe that, even if Tyus Jones starts for Morant, Memphis could win. The Lakers should cover.
Anthony Davis' Total Stocks
Davis was the standout two-way star of Sunday's stunningly good 128-112 win over the Grizzlies. He scored 22 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, blocked seven shots, stole three balls, and dished out three assists. The eight-time All-Star had plenty of time off between that initial matchup and tonight's bout to rest his shoulder stinger, so it feels like he should be able to manage that ailment well if there's any lingering issue. Can he recapture that 10 combined steals and blocks ("stocks") again tonight? Probably not. His over/under on stocks is 4.5. Take the over.
Rui Hachimura's Total Made Three Pointers
After an epic 5-of-6 shooting night from distance, Hachimura's spread is set at 1.5 made triples. During his 33 games for LA during the 2022-23 regular season, the 6'8" power forward is averaging 1.3 made treys. I think he can at least make two tonight.
