Darvin Ham Breaks Down Lakers’ Mentality In Surprise Win Over Warriors

During a post-game interview, the Lakers coach addressed which player was key in contributing to the team's success.

On Sunday, your Los Angeles Lakers pulled off a big win against the Golden State Warriors, even with Stephen Curry back in action from lower left leg injuries that had forced him to sit out the team's 11 prior games.

In a postgame interview, LA head coach Darvin Ham spoke to reporters about the main takeaways from this big win over the 2022 NBA champions.

"I'm truly proud of our guys just coming out and staying locked in for the duration of the game and coming away with a much need W."

As coach Ham mentioned, this was a much-needed win for the Lake Show. With the victory, the Lakers improve to 31-34 on the season and are just a half-game out of the play-in tournament.

Ham continued to address how Anthony Davis helped set the tone for this team even with key players, LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell ,out of the lineup with their respective injuries.

The big man carried on offense with 39 points, while grabbing eight rebounds, and dishing out six assists. He was a catalyst in the team’s success and allowed other teammates to thrive as well including Austin Reaves, Dennis Schroder, and Jarred Vanderbilt.

With AD’s help, the Lakers built a 20-point lead right off the bat in the first quarter and continued to fight even when the defending champions erased the deficit.

The dub showed how this Lakers team was able to hold things under control and remain focused. As they head into this final stretch of the postseason, the team will channel more of this energy in order to increase their chances of seeing the postseason.
