Lakers News: Draymond Green Submits Best Game Against LA To Keep Warriors Alive
During your Los Angeles Lakers' 121-106 loss to the Golden State Warriors, an unlikely scorer emerged to help salvage Golden State's 2023 titles hopes: All-Defensive Second Team power forward Draymond Green.
Green poured in 20 points while shooting 7-of-11 from the field, pulled down 10 rebounds and swiped two steals.
"That's coming out aggressive on both ends of the floor. That's verbally so everyone hears you on the floor. I felt a little disrespected when he said it," Green noted of his two-way leadership, per Kendra Andrews of ESPN. "I knew it was on me to come out and set the tone for our guys. ... Season is on the line, backs against the wall. You got to come out and give it all you got. That was my mindset."
Andrews notes that Green also had a 20-point night earlier in the postseason, during the Warriors' Game 5 win against the Sacramento Kings in their first round playoff series. Green now has enjoyed his first postseason of scoring 20+ points since 2017, en route to his second title with Golden State.
