Former Lakers Center Opens Up About Playing with Russell Westbrook

Russ's former teammate had a lot to say!
In this story:

It seems like no matter what NBA players you talk too, they always have great things to say about former Los Angeles Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook. It just speaks to the kind of person that Westbrook is and how much people around the league resect him. So many different players have praised Westbrook as a teammate despite all the criticism that he has received from the media and fans.

The latest player to give some insight to how it is playing with Westbrook is former Lakers center Thomas Bryant. Bryant spoke about what it's like being a teammate of Westbrook and he was open and honest about it all.

These comments by the former Laker center seem to be in line with what we have heard in the past from others. Bryant spent the first half of the year last season with LA before the team traded him to Denver at the trade deadline. He ended up going on to win the NBA title with the Nuggets so in the end, he won.

The time that Westbrook spent with the Lakers certainly could have gone better but even with everything going on, he still showed up to work everyday. He never gave up and kept on fighting to try and help the team win games.

The issue was that he was taking up so much of the teams cap space and wasn't performing up to par with how much he was making. Westbrook and the Lakers needed a divorce in the worst way and thankfully they both got it at the trade deadline last season.

Westbrook thrived during his time with the Los Angeles Clippers at the end of last season and they brought him back this offseason on a new two-year deal
