This is a funny situation all around.

Former Los Angeles Lakers guard Malik Monk, now with the Sacramento Kings, took to social media late Wednesday night, early Thursday morning to post a simple message:

"Idc bout yall parlays"

For those who don't know, "Idc" is the text shortened way of saying "I don't care," as Monk is making it clear he doesn't care about any sports bets involving him.

This likely wasn't unprompted, as I'm sure his direct messages were flooded with texts following a recent game between the Kings and Trail Blazers.

The Kings hung on to a 121-118 victory, but they didn't cover the 8.5-point spread.

Monk, himself, had a great game, scoring 23 points, dishing out 10 assists and bringing down six rebounds — but clearly, some people weren't happy with him after the game.

Monk decided to post that on Twitter, and that tweet has officially gone viral. The responses, in classic Twitter fashion, haven't exactly gone the way Monk would have hoped.

A couple of Monk's teammates decided to chime in, too, in support of Monk's post.

Obviously this is just a fun social media interaction, and at the end of the day, no one really cares about Monk's comments. But he definitely learned the hard way about going to Twitter to share your thoughts, because people will always be ready to flame you.

Either way, Monk is having another solid year this season off the bench in Sacramento, averaging 14.4 points, 5.6 asssists, 2.5 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game, across 23.6 minutes. So Monk can keep doing what he's doing, and sports bettors will probably stop betting on him for the time being.
