Grizzlies Star Ja Morant Heads to Locker Room in Fourth Quarter Against Lakers With Injury
It's been a wild first game in Memphis to say the least. We've seen the Lakers' entire postseason flash before their eyes when Anthony Davis left with a shoulder injury earlier in the match only to return just as dominant and it's been a back and forth, fast-paced showdown since,
However, things just got more interesting once again.
Ja Morant went for yet another high-flying layup in the paint and went right into Anthony Davis, who took a charge. Gravity then came into the picture and Morant crashed down to the floor with most of his weight on his wrist and had to run to the lock room immediately.
"Ja Morant just ran off the court holding his right hand and let out a painful yell on his way to the locker room. He was already dealing with a right hand injury and was wearing a pad on it."

Up until this point, Morant had 18 points and six rebounds. Jared Vanderbilt was the primary defender on him and switched him onto Jaren Jackson Jr. after.
Morant returned to Memphis' bench a few minutes after with his hand heavily bandaged and did not enter the game again.
