Lakers News: How LeBron James Manages Media Reactions During Playoffs
The Los Angeles Lakers dominated on Saturday night to take a 2-1 series lead over the Golden State Warriors. After losing by 27 in Game 2, LA responded in a big way, winning by 30 points in Game 3, 127-97.
Lakers superstar LeBron James tied point guard D'Angelo Russell to be the second leading scorer for LA behind Anthony Davis, dropping 21 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. James' night was incredibly efficient, and his defense propelled his team to victory.
After the game, James spoke to the media, and a reporter asked how he and his team handles the outsiders' criticism.
"Stay off the TV and stay off social media. You win a game, everybody is the greatest player in the world. You lose a game, they throwing dirt on you. It's literally that simple."
LA stole Game 1 in San Francisco but had a lackluster Game 2, losing by 27, and many players had disappointing outings, especially Lakers superstar Anthony Davis. Many experts and analysts have been very hard on the team, and Davis when they don't play well and the noise is loud.
If there's anyone you want to have on your side when dealing with blocking out the noise, it's LeBron. The Laker brand alone brings a lot of attention whether they like it or not, add LeBron to that mix, and they are under a microscope.
Every game, quarter, and possession matters in the postseason. People are going to talk; it's best to keep your head down and focus on the task. Hopefully, the team will take LeBron's wisdom.
