The Los Angeles Lakers are trying to figure out a way to integrate Luka Doncic into the roster. He and LeBron James play very similarly on the offensive end of the court.

Doncic played his first game for the Lakers in Los Angeles on Monday against the Jazz. The Lakers crushed the Jazz in that game.

Utah was hoping to improve in the second game of their series right before the All-Star break and did just that. They won the game 131-119 and made sure the Lakers weren't close.

Since this is the second game that Doncic has played with the Lakers, fans were hoping to see him play a lot better than that first game. Not that he didn't play well, but he didn't even score 20 points.

Doncic did score more points but ultimately did not help the team win. He ended up putting in 16 points for the Lakers. He also had four rebounds and four assists.

Doncic finished 6-13 shooting, so he was efficient with the shots that he took. Quite frankly, the Lakers played well enough offensively to win this game.

The issue for them was their defense, which the Lakers knew was going to happen once they got Doncic. He is not a good defender, and Jaxson Hayes went out early in this game.

The Lakers didn't have enough rim protection to beat the Jazz in this game. They weren't able to score enough points to make it a moot point.

Now, the Lakers head into the All-Star break. That should allow the team to rest up and also figure out how to better improve the center position.

Los Angeles did sign Alex Len to help with some depth, but he is not a good defensive player. They need someone at that spot who is more defensive-minded.

The first couple of weeks after the break will really be about getting Doncic more comfortable with the Lakers's roster so that he can be the top-three player in the NBA that he has been for his entire career.

Doncic is averaging 27 points, eight rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game this season.
