Lakers Injury Report: LeBron James, Anthony Davis May Sit Second Game of Back-to-Back

LeBron and AD need their rest with the playoffs around the corner.

As the Lakers are set to take on the lowly Washington Wizards (15-61) on the second night of a back-to-back, both LeBron James and Anthony Davis have popped up on the injury report.

Both are questionable, with James (ankle) and Davis (knee) having played last night in their win over Toronto.

Tonight, against a worse opponent on the second night of a back-to-back, there's a good argument for at least one of them to take the night off, similar to what we saw when they took on the Bucks and Grizzlies on consecutive nights last week.

However, it seems like both will be out there given the magnitude of this game. As bad as Washington is, they took the Lakers to overtime at Crypto.com Arena on February 29th, despite LA being at full health. They have some quality players, including Kyle Kuzma, Deni Avdija, and Corey Kispert, and are also coming off of an upset win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

It's must-win time for LA, as their seeding remains a question mark with only five games left on the calendar after tonight. They're 1.5 games out of the 8th seed, which belongs to Phoenix, and just 2.5 games out of the 6th seed, which belongs to New Orleans, so doing the most that they can before the season's end is in their best interest.
