Lakers Injury Report: 6 Top Jazz Players Being Sat In What Should Be LA Cakewalk
Your Los Angeles Lakers wrap up their regular season starting at 12:30 p.m. PT against the Utah Jazz.
But exactly which Jazz players will be available?
Per the NBA's latest injury report, the Jazz's top three scorers -- Lauri Markkanen, Jordan Clakson and Collin Sexton -- will sit. Starting center Walker Kessler, veteran power forward Rudy Gay, and ex-Laker Talen Horton-Tucker are also done for the year.
Not to be outdone, your Los Angeles Lakers could be without four of their top five scorers. Most importantly, All-Star small forward LeBron James is questionable with a sore right foot and star center Anthony Davis is also questionable as he continues to manage his right foot stress injury. Both the Lakers' top two point guards, D'Angelo Russell (probable to play through a sore left foot) and Dennis Schröder (questionable with a sore right Achilles, after missing Friday's Suns win with a neck injury), may not suit up.
Given all these Jazz absences and the fact that the Lakers will still be playing at home and will have scoring guards like Austin Reaves, Malik Beasley, and Lonnie Walker IV (who would actually be in the lineup if all these Lakers sat) available, I still like LA's chances. If just one of James, Davis, or Russell plays, Los Angeles should be able to sow up its 43rd win of the 2022-23 season.
