Future Los Angeles Lakers Hall of Famers Anthony Davis and LeBron James, who are both dealing with injuries, played major minutes last night in a critical 135-133 overtime victory over the Utah Jazz's B-squad.

Prior to the game, LA head coach Darvin Ham indicated that Davis and James would be reassessed following yesterday's contest, according to Jovan Buha of The Athletic.

Ham added that LA is going to operate cautiously with regards to the availability of Davis, James and starting point guard D'Angelo Russell, who sat out yesterday with a sore left foot, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN. Ham indicated that all three will be appraised today.

Los Angeles has "our short term business to take care of and our long term business to take care of," Ham said.

The Lakers have yet to submit an injury report to the NBA ahead of tonight's bout, per the league's latest injury report. On the Clippers side, the biggest news bulletin is the continued absence of Palmdale native Paul George, the Clips' lone 2023 All-Star, who will miss the rest of the regular season with a sprained right knee.

Ancient (i.e. younger than me but still over 30) reserves Eric Gordon and Marcus Morris are considered questionable with various maladies.
