Lakers Injury Report: LA Role Player Questionable For Game 1 Against Warriors
Tonight, your Los Angeles Lakers, the West's seventh seed at 43-39, will open up their second round matchup on the road against the Golden State Warriors, the conference's sixth seed at 44-38, in what's sure to be a hotly-contested bout.
Both clubs appear likely to boast close to their full compliment of rotational assets heading into the first game of this best-of-seven series.
Per the latest NBA injury report, Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are both considered probable to play through their respective sore right foot and right foot stress injury. Joining them on the injury report for the first time in the postseason is little-used reserve center Mo Bamba, considered questionable to play (a tier below probable) due to a sore left foot.
Bamba was squeezed out of head coach Darvin Ham's rotation during the team's first round series victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. He only played garbage-time minutes, but apparently his total of 10:20 through six games was enough to mess up that ankle.
For the Warriors, rookie small forward Patrick Baldwin Jr., who played a total of 2:31 in mop-up minutes during the Warriors' seven-game first round series defeat of the Sacramento Kings, is questionable to play through a sore left toe. Reserve swingman Andre Iguodala, who won the 2015 NBA Finals MVP for the Dubs thanks mostly to his defense against then-Cavaliers All-Star LeBron James, is out as he continues to recover from a left wrist surgery. Rookie point guard Ryan Rollins is also shelved while recuperating from a right foot surgery.
