Lakers Injury Report: LA Updates Availability Of Anthony Davis In Portland
Breathe a sigh of sweet relief, LA faithful!
Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis will be suiting up in the purple and gold tonight at the Moda Center after all, after previously being merely probable to play against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Per the NBA's latest injury report, Davis will be able to play through the right foot stress injury from which he is still recovering. Given that, you know, he's LA's second-best player and will be the fulcrum of the club's offensive touches in the paint.
As was previously revealed, LA All-Star LeBron James remains out for the third straight game with that pesky sore left ankle. Two-way rookies Scotty Pippen Jr. and Cole Swider will be with the Lakers' G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.
For Portland, starting power forward Jerami Grant (concussion protocols) and center Jusuf Nurkic (left calf strain), while reserves Ibou Badji (left knee soreness) and Justise Winslow (left ankle sprain) are all out.
Shooting guard Keon Johson, power forward Trendon Watford and former lottery pick combo forward Kevin Knox II will all be able to play for the Blazers tonight.
