Lakers Injury Report: LeBron James Downgraded Ahead Of Wednesday's Chicago Rematch
After making a surprise comeback Sunday during your Los Angeles Lakers' 118-108 Crypto.com Arena defeat against the Chicago Bulls, All-Star small forward LeBron James has seen his status demoted to merely questionable ahead of an impending Wednesday rematch, per Marc Stein.
In some happier news, starting point guard D'Angelo Russell has been upgraded to probable to suit up tomorrow. He has missed the Lakers' past two contests due to a sore right hip.
Starting LA center Anthony Davis is also considered probable to play as he continues to manage the right foot stress injury that put him on the shelf for five-and-a-half weeks earlier this season.
Reserve 3-and-D big man Mo Bamba, who has played just seven games since arriving in Los Angeles, remains out with a left high ankle sprain, and is considered doubtful to return during these final few weeks of the 2022-23 NBA regular season. LA has a $10.3 million team option on Bamba for 2023-24. His health issues and middling on-court production make the prospect of a long-term future with the club a bit murky.
Two-way Lakers players Cole Swider and Scotty Pippen Jr. will, as usual, be away from the team as they get reps with LA's El Segundo NBAGL affiliate club, the South Bay Lakers.
