Lakers Injury Report: Status of 6 Lakers in Doubt Ahead of Must-Win vs Raptors
Just a game-and-a-half out of the Western Conference's 8th seed, the 42-33 Los Angeles Lakers continue to be in must-win territory, taking on the 23-51 Toronto Raptors tonight on the road.
The Lakers' injury report has been loaded up all season, and tonight is no different. Per the NBA's most recent injury report, All-Stars LeBron James (ankle), Anthony Davis (knee), and four additional contributors all have their status in jeopardy.
James, Davis, and backup center Jaxson Hayes (calf) are all questionable, while point guard Gabe Vincent (knee), forward Jarred Vanderbilt (foot), and wing Cam Reddish (personal) are all out.
Vincent made his return on Sunday against Brooklyn, but appears to be load managing from his long-term knee injury. While Vanderbilt's long-term outlook has improved, he will need more time. We can only hope Reddish is doing well outside of the basketball space.
Expect James and Davis to suit up given the magnitude of this game, as well as how early we've been hearing about LeBron's absences – his past few have been made clear 24-48 hours before tipoff. Hayes' status remains in question, but given Toronto's lack of size and depth, his absence – if he ends up missing the game – won't be too big of an issue.
