Lakers News: Jalen Hood-Schifino Selection Points To Uncomfortable Truth About LeBron James

The end of his playing days are near for James.
In this story:

LeBron James has been in the NBA for a long time. Originally drafted back in 2003, he has played in the NBA longer than he hasn't in his lifetime. There aren't many players that last in the league even for half the amount of time that James has and it's just a testament to his greatness. Entering year 21 this coming season, James will have a teammate that was young a few days old when James was originally drafted by Cleveland all those years ago.

Rookie point guard Jalen Hood-Schifino will be that teammate of his and it just speaks to the reality that his playing days will be coming to an end soon and the longevity of James.

Hood-Schifino will be joining the Lakers after being drafted 17th overall in this past weeks NBA Draft. He will join the team and act as possibly their backup point guard depending how free agency shakes out for LA.

He gives them another solid option to use due to his versatility and defensive habits. The pick was made to bring some spark to the Lakers and add in some young, cheap talent to the roster as the new CBA comes into play.

As for James, he has been at the center of strange occurrences like this due to his long playing days. If anything, this could be a fun story that the two men can laugh about once they do finally meet.
