Your 40-38 Los Angeles Lakers, the Western Conference's seventh seed, are hoping to improve their current road trip record to 4-0 tonight when they head to Mormon country to fend off the 36-42 Utah Jazz, the West's 12th seed.

As was previously reported, LA could be missing its three best scorers tonight. Although, to be fair, it seems like All-Star LeBron James is the main player in jeopardy of not playing tonight.

Not to be outdone, Utah will be without its own top two scorers this evening, per the NBA's latest injury report.

All-Star Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen, the team's top scorer at 25.6 points per game, will be sidelined with a left hand contusion. Ex-Laker Jordan Clarkson, the club's second-leading scorer at 20.8 points a night, remains out with a fourth finger sprain on his left hand. Deep-bench reserve Rudy Gay is unavailable with a sore low back. Future All-Rookie center Walker Kessler remains in the club's concussion protocol.

Jazz guard Collin Sexton, however, the team's third-leading scorer, has been ruled available as he deals with a left hamstring strain. He had previously been considered merely probable to suit up tonight.
