Lakers News: LA Summer League Schedule Announced
With the 2023 NBA draft behind us, it's time to look ahead to both NBA free agency and the Summer League. We got a step closer for the summer league as the Lakers announced their schedule on Friday. You can find all the dates below!
We will get to see the new draft picks in Jalen Hood-Schifino and Maxwell Lewis, as well as other youngsters in Max Christie, new two-way players Colin Castleton and Missouri guard D’Moi Hodge, Exhibit 10 signing Alex Fudge, and more.
It's an exciting time for all NBA fans and Laker fans should be pumped up for this year's version of the summer tournament. Los Angeles will be participating in the California Classic once again before heading over to Las Vegas for the conclusion of the games.
They will open the summer against the Miami Heat on July 3 in Sacramento and then play the San Antonio Spurs on July 5, also up in Northern California. This means that the Lakers should get a first look at number overall pick for the Spurs, superstar center-in-waiting Victor Wembanyama.
In Las Vegas, the Lakers will take on the Golden State Warriors on July 7, the Charlotte Hornets on July 9, the rival Boston Celtics on July 12 and finally the Memphis Grizzlies on July 14.
It's a packed schedule for the Lakers but a chance for the young guys to show what they can do. Las Vegas is always a good time for summer league so make sure to tune in and watch all the games.
