Lakers News: LA Teammate Of LeBron James, Kobe Bryant Unpacks Players' Disparate "Auras"
Depending on who they grew up watching, everybody has a different opinion as to who is better all-time, LeBron James or Kobe Bryant. Obviously, both of their games are quite different from one another as James' game was more centered around his ability to attack the rim at will while Bryant always preferred to attack the mid-range area of the court and take jumpers.
However, the two accomplished numerous feats all throughout their careers and with James still having two years left on his contract with the Los Angele Lakers, his resume is only growing. It's crazy to think that the Lakers have had the pleasure to serve as home for both of these legends and even though James may not reach the five rings that Bryant got, he may very well end his NBA career in the purple and gold.
Current Lakers point guard D'Angelo Russell has also been quite lucky as he was able to play alongside Kobe Bryant during his rookie season with the Lakers and now has been able to suit up with James as well thanks to LA getting him back this past trade deadline.
Russell joined 'The Pat Bev Podcast' recently and broke down the different auras between the two legends.
When it came to the Black Mamba, Russell described him as very introverted and to himself.
“Just being when he walked around," said Russell. "You know everyone’s talking in a room and when you walk by, it’s just quiet? He had that about him. He’s really to himself and at the time he was writing the movies and the books, he was directing and all of the time so he was locked in.”

On the other hand, he described James as someone that's a lot more social and comedic off the court. However, Russell also made sure to point out the differences in these latter stages of their respective careers.
"LeBron’s more involved with everybody, with everything. On the bus, he’s social… on the plane he’s social. When I was with Kobe, I sat next to him on the plane and we sat on one of the back seats and I watched him, studied him and he never talks."
