Showtime Laker Hates This LeBron James Courtside Behavior

King James held court recently, but it didn't sit well with everybody.

In your Los Angeles Lakers' second preseason loss to the Golden State Warriors (at least it was a fairly close 129-125 final margin), LA superstar LeBron James submitted a solid first-half line before making a drastic second half change.

Now, James has inadvertently produced the ire of longtime Showtime-era Los Angeles swingman Michael Cooper, as the 1987 Defensive Player of the Year details on The Showtime Podcast.

Across 18 minutes in the first half against the Dubs, James, a 19-time All-Star, logged 12 points, five assists and two rebounds. At the break, the 6'8" forward changed and then returned in his sweats, while eating some apparent takeout.

Cooper spoke with Nick Gelso about the now-viral moment.

If you don't feel like watching the full episode (and, to be clear, you absolutely should watch the full episode), here's the pertinent quote:

“I didn’t like it,” Cooper said. “I didn’t like that. Again, he’s LeBron James, but still, you got to have respect for the game man, man. He’s sitting over there. I don’t mind the guy eating, but go eat in the locker room, and then when you come out and be part of the team, not just sit at the end of the bench eating.”
