Lakers Highlights: Anthony Davis Records Triple-Double as LA's Wins Third Straight
On the backs of an impressive 26-point, 13-rebound, 11-assist triple-double from Anthony Davis, the Lakers have defeated the Charlotte Hornets 124-118.
A late-game scare due to a cold streak in the 4th quarter (1/11 from three-point range in the period) made the final score much closer than the game itself, but Los Angeles was in firm control of this one throughout.
They led by as much as 21, dominating on the glass and in the paint. A cold three-point shooting night overall (8-34; 23.5%) left them resorting more to scoring inside the arc, but it seemed like they were able to get to their spots at will, generating high-percentage looks.
Concerningly, L.A. struggled to take care of the ball, recording 17 turnovers to Charlotte's nine. While their interior efficiency helped them overcome that, there's reason to be concerned going forward.
Their carelessness will be more of an issue against a team that isn't amongst the worst in the league – for example, against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.
Here are some of their top plays on the day:
