Lakers Highlights: LA's Rides Explosive Offense to Blowout Win over Atlanta

This was a huge win for the Lakers, who have now moved up in the standings.

Coming off of two losses that did a number on their seeding, the Lakers are now back in the win column behind a 136-105 obliteration of the Atlanta Hawks.

A slow start highlighted by a Jalen Johnson poster dunk over Austin Reaves teased yet another Lakers disappointment. But over time, LA got it together. The team led by 10 at the end of the first quarter before exploding down the stretch, with the game out of reach by the early parts of the third quarter.

For LA, this was a balanced offensive attack, as they annihilated a terrible Hawks defense. Anthony Davis finished with 22 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists, while LeBron James and D'Angelo Russell added 25 points and 27 points, respectively, to go along with a combined 20 assists.

LA looked great for most of this game, moving the ball well and hitting the shots they generated. Combined with a Warriors loss, the Lakers are in better shape now than they were a few hours ago. That said, they're still a concerning 2.5 games behind the Phoenix Suns for the 8th seed, so there's still plenty of work to be done to avoid two single-elimination play-in games.

Here's a look at their top plays on the night:
