Lakers Injury News: Who is Available to Play for Shorthanded LA Against the Bucks?

The shorthanded Lakers are going to get their cardio in tonight.
In this story:

The Los Angeles Lakers are riding a high after the team's impressive trade deadline that saw them fill just about all their needs. The Lakers are hoping their newest additions will be able to suit up Saturday, in a game that's sure to draw a ton of interest against the Golden State Warriors.

However, before we can look ahead to Saturday, we have to talk about Thursday night's game at the Crytpo.com Arena against the Milwaukee Bucks. LeBron James was ruled out for the game earlier on Thursday due to left ankle soreness, and ahead of the game, head coach Darvin Ham confirmed that none of the team's new additions would be in the lineup. So, who does that leave?

Anthony Davis was listed as probable to play all day, but he's officially good to go, and will join seven other Lakers eligible to play on Thursday. Here's all eight players available to go:

G Dennis Schröder

G Austin Reaves

G Max Christie

G/F Lonnie Walker IV

G/F Troy Brown Jr.

F Rui Hachimura

F Wenyen Gabriel

F/C Anthony Davis

Yes, that's the whole list. And the Lakers are taking on the 37-17 Bucks who are basically just missing Bobby Portis.

The good news is Thursday will be a great chance for Gabriel and Christie to continue to show what they can do. With the new additions, and everyone fully healthy, both of their roles in the immediate remain unclear. However, both have impressed when they've been on the court, and they'll have a chance to do it again Thursday night.

Thursday would also be a good day to see what the offense looks like when it runs through Davis. It would be nice to see him be as aggressive as he was early in the year, and try to keep his Lakers in the game.

Tip off for Thursday's game is at 7:00 p.m. Pacific, but make sure to tune in early to watch a special tribute for LeBron for becoming the NBA's all-time scoring leader on Tuesday.
