Lakers Injury Report: Star Guard Downgraded to Out for LA-Cavaliers Showdown

LA will be very shorthanded against Cleveland.

As the Los Angeles Lakers get ready to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers today, they will have to do so without the services of forward Cam Reddish. Reddish is out again tonight due to injury, and the Lakers will be very shorthanded against Cleveland.

Reddish missed the last game for LA after leaving a game early at the start of the week. His absence will be felt on the defensive end for this team, and LA may struggle with the size of the Cavaliers.

He has taken a step forward in his overall game this season, and the Lakers have benefitted from it. Reddish has taken on some of the tougher defensive assignments, and he recently became a starter for them as well.

Along with Reddish, the team will be missing forward Rui Hachimura and Jarred Vanderbilt, and guard Gabe Vincent remains out too. The Lakers will have to figure out some way to stop the overall length of Cleveland if they want any chance to win this game.

The team will be counting on stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis in this one once again, but they can't do it all alone. Guys like Austin Reaves and D'Angelo Russell will need to heavily step up for LA to get back in the win column.

This is the first of a multi-game road trip for the Lakers, and the team would love nothing more than to get it started with a win. Hopefully, they can use a total team effort to get the win and take down Cleveland.
