Lakers Injury Report: Timeline Revealed For Gabe Vincent Return
One of the big signings of the offseason for the Los Angeles Lakers was grabbing point guard Gabe Vincent on a three-year contract. Vincent was a key piece to the Miami Heat’s run to the NBA Finals last season, and he was expected to be a contributor to LA.
However, he has been sidelined for weeks with an injury and has only played in four games this season. There is hope for a return soon though, and it would be a welcomed sight for this Lakers squad.
NBA Insider Shams Charania of The Athletic is reporting that Vincent is aiming to make his return next week. He has been out of the lineup dealing with a left knee injury since October 30th.
“Guard Gabe Vincent is hopeful for a return as soon as Dec. 18 for the Lakers’ home game against the Knicks, according to league sources. Vincent has been limited to just four games this season because of rehabilitation from left knee effusion. He last played on Oct. 30.”
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic
Once the Lakers get Vincent back officially, they will have their entire team healthy for the first time this season. They just got back multiple pieces, and it has already made a direct impact on their performances on the court.
LA had been battling through different injuries all season that saw players in and out of the lineup. But now they can use the strong depth that the front office built over the summer.
Vincent reflects as a major part of that depth and he gives them another strong perimeter defender. He is also a great three-point shooter, which should only help this team as the year progresses.
Hopefully, we can see Vincent make his return to the court next week, and this team can finally build the chemistry that they need. LA has stayed afloat while dealing with the injuries and now it’s time to get greedy.
