Lakers Legend Officially Revealed as Cover Athlete of NBA 2K24
It was heavily rumored to happen and after much speculation, it' now it's official. Kobe Bryant was announced as the cover athlete for NBA 2K24.
It was only right to have Bryant spearheading this edition of the game and the 2K team got it right. Like usual, there will be a standard version of the game which will be called the Kobe Bryant Edition and the premium one, which will be called the Black Mamba Edition.
If it's anything like the previous versions of the game, NBA 2K24 will likely feature some of the best moments from the career of Bryant and players will get a chance to reenact them. It's been one of the cooler features that the video game has provided in recent years and with Bryant as the leading man, you'd expect no different.
2K has seen major success in years past with their special edition cover athletes so putting Bryant as the face of the 2024 version make sense. The Mamba Mentality will be shared with future generations as 2K put it in their announcement and an entire patch of players will get to enjoy Bryant all over again.
Players can pre-order their copy of either version starting on Friday, June 7 but don't wait as this is expected to go quickly.
