It feels like basketball sneaker culture is going through a bit of an evolution at the moment. Kevin Durant and LeBron James continue to release new shoe packs each year as the two pillars of Nike on-court athletes while younger stars in Devin Booker and Ja Morant recently got their own signature lines with the billion-dollar company.

Paul George will likely not get any new releases for the time-being but he has confirmed that some of his previous models will be retro'd for loyal fans in the near future.

Even with all of these options on the market, there are not many basketball shoe lines that fans and athletes continue to follow the way they do Kobe Bryant's. The late, great Lakers legend rocked a number of iconic pairs of his personal sneaker during his historic career and continued working closely with Nike after his playing days to ensure that the next generation of athletes had access to his brand.

Following his passing, his wife Vanessa Bryant took the proper time to ensure that the Black Mamba's legacy was the priority for all parties involved with his name and brand and announced that new pairs of Kobes would be hitting shelves again within the next couple of years.

Vanessa has been teasing different designs on her Instagram recently and one specific pair has fans of another local LA team very impressed. Take a look at the Kobe 6 "Dodgers" PE sneakers down below!

Natalia Bryant also wore these last MLB season when she threw out the first pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers. With Shohei Ohtani now on the squad, thanks partially to the help of the Black Mamba, these shoes need to release soon and 2024 just may be the best year.
