Your 19-19 Los Angeles Lakers battled to the very end against the 15-22 Toronto Raptors Tuesday, coming out with a hard-fought 132-131 victory. It was another game where the Lakers likely could have won by more than just the one point they did, but it's become a theme for this team.

Star big man Anthony Davis led the way, scoring 41 points. L.A. needed every single one of them, but Davis deflected credit for the win. He instead pointed to the entire team for helping get the victory.

“It was all of us,” said Davis, who had none of his frequent late-game struggles to hit key free throws. “It wasn’t just me. Big-time stops. We got rebounds, and they wanted me to get the ball as far as free throws, but the team was just making the right reads and trying to finish."

Per Greg Beacham of The Associated Press

This now marks two straight wins for Los Angeles after they dropped a few in a row. At this point, the Lakers will take whatever victories that they can get.

Star forward LeBron James spoke about Davis, saying he was locked in all game.

“He was just locked in,” James said of Davis. “We knew we had an advantage in the interior tonight and we just tried to get it to him early and often. And late. So, that was my mind-set all game.”

Per Dan Woike of The Los Angeles Times

This is the type of performance that Davis needs to show every time out. While he won't always score 41 points, his aggressive approach tends to help the Lakers win more games.

They feed off how Davis is, and he is the engine for this team. Davis has the capability to dominate on both ends of the floor but needs to make sure he does it consistently each game.
