Lakers News: Anthony Davis Unpacks Career Night Vs Minnesota
The Los Angeles Lakers picked up another massive win on Sunday evening, taking down the Minnesota Timberwolves at home. It was a close game throughout until the Lakers pulled away in the fourth quarter.
Minnesota was missing some of their main players, but their roster is still good enough to put up a solid fight. They gave Los Angeles all they could handle, but the Lakers were too much in the end.
The team was led by star Anthony Davis, who had himself one hell of a game. He finished with 27 points, 25 rebounds, seven steals and three blocks. After the game, he reflected on his career night in helping the team grab the victory.
Davis has the capability of putting up incredible numbers on a nightly basis but sometimes falls into the trap of not being as aggressive. The Lakers need him to be aggressive at all times and he took advantage of the lack of size that the Timberwolves were missing.
Grabbing this win over the Wolves is huge for the Lakers as they look to stay alive in the playoff race. They are currently squarely in the play-in right now, but they have been playing much better of late.
If they can continue their winning ways, they may be able to climb the standings even more. They head to Sacramento for a big game on Wednesday, then return home for a few games. If they can take advantage of this opportunity ahead of them, Los Angeles can put themselves into a strong position going forward.
