Well-traveled Los Angeles Lakers starting small forward Cam Reddish has completely reinvigorated his career this season. Last year, in splitting his time between tonight's opposition, the New York Knicks, and the Portland Trail Blazers, things were looking pretty bleak for the former No. 10 overall lottery pick out of Duke (in the same draft wherein his fellow Blue Devil R.J. Barrett was selected third overall by the Knicks).

Apparently, he still holds a bit of a grudge. Though he did greet New York journalists, he avoided responding to any inquiries, per Steve Popper of Newsday. Popper adds that Reddish explained that he felt that, because his Knicks tenure had come to a close, so too did his interest in talking about it.

This season in LA, on a veteran's minimum deal, Reddish is averaging a modest 7.1 points on a solid slash line of .421/.333/.853, plus 2.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.3 assists.

The 6'8" combo forward splits his first four NBA seasons on three NBA teams, playing with the Atlanta Hawks, Knicks and Blazers. Outside of some clutch playoff moments with the Hawks in that club's run to the 2021 Eastern Conference Finals, Reddish didn't make much of a dent. But his defense, playing big minutes on a big-ticket, playoff-bound league franchise, and his freshly competent shooting (we'll see if it holds) seems destined to earn him a major, multi-year pay upgrade this summer.

He's been around so long, it's easy to forget he's just 24.
