The Los Angeles Lakers took down the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday evening by a score of 121-115 to start their multi-game road trip off with a win. It was the team's 10th victory of the season, and arguably their best win of the year.

They won the game on the road without about half of their roster, who was out due to injury. But the Lakers pushed through and found a way to win the game.

It was a close matchup throughout, and LA took control at the end of the game. Cleveland center Evan Mobley gave his thoughts on why his team ended up losing the game, blaming the game plan.

“We didn’t play how we wanted to the entire game and we didn’t complete the mission,” Mobley said. “They were executing their plays and we weren’t down the stretch. It’s disappointing.”

The Lakers have been a very solid defensive team this season, and it has helped stabilize things for them while the offense figures everything out. They caused issues for the Cavaliers, especially down the stretch, leading to the big win.

Star big man Anthony Davis led the way for the team, posting 32 points and 13 rebounds on the night. Co-star LeBron James made sure to point out the impact that Davis had on the win after the game.

“Tonight was an A.D. game for us,” James said. “He needs to touch the ball, and we want him to be aggressive offensively and anchor our defense. He did a great job attacking the basket and guarding the glass.”

When Davis plays aggressively, the Lakers tend to be a tough team to take down. They needed all of his production in this one, and it led to a very quality road victory.
