Lakers News: D’Angelo Russell, Dejounte Murray Convene After LA-Hawks Game
Your Los Angeles Lakers dropped their 25th game of the season on Tuesday night on the road against the Atlanta Hawks. The Lakers were sluggish all game long, resulting in their loss. It was a tough one to swallow as the team moved one game below .500 (24-25).
The loss was one thing, but the embrace between Lakers guard D'Angelo Russell and Hawks guard Dejounte Murray after the game was a whole other thing.
The two one-time All-Stars, amid a flurry of trade rumors involving their teams exchanging them for one another, were seen deliberating on the court after the game.
The topic of their conversation is unknown, but I'm sure many fans can use their imagination. For those who have been living under a rock, the Lakers and Murray have been linked with each other all season long, and Russell considered the main piece to acquire Murray.
We're at a point of not if the Lakers will make a trade, but when a trade will be made. The NBA trade deadline is on February 8th, and it could only be a matter of time before Russell is on the move or Murray is donning the purple and gold.
It's not certain these two will be traded for each other. Russell could be moved in another trade, or he could be moved in a trade for Murray. A lot can happen from now till the trade deadline, and like always, the Lakers will be at the front and center of things.
Trade season is upon us, and we'll have you guys covered for all things Purple and Gold.
