Los Angeles Lakers point guard D'Angelo Russell has missed the team's last five games with an ankle injury. He's been doubtful heading into each game, however, on Monday, the team finally got some good news. According to Underdog NBA on Twitter, Russell has officially been upgraded to questionable for Tuesday's game against the short-handed Memphis Grizzlies.

The Lakers would love to get Russell back, as their offense has struggled at times over the last few games. In their Sunday win against the Golden State Warriors, the Lakers had some very bad offensive stretches, that would have been solved with a shot creator and scorer like Russell in the game.

Russell looked like a perfect fit when he came over after the deadline, however, only played in three-plus games before getting hurt and now missing five games.

Obviously, this new report doesn't mean he's going to play on Tuesday, but it's nice to see that his status is improving, and there's a least a chance he suits up on Tuesday against Memphis.

The Grizzlies will, of course, be without Ja Morant, who's serving the second game of his indefinite suspension from the team. As for the Lakers, they'll be without LeBron James, who won't return until at least the middle of March.

Every game at this point in the season feels like a must win for the Lakers, so hopefully, they can get D-Lo back for this important matchup. We'll continue to update you on Russell's status when we know more.
