Lakers News: D'Angelo Russell Talks Fit With LA's Stars

Lakers guard says it’ll be an experience gelling with James and Davis
In this story:

Last night, three new Lakers made their debut with the purple and gold. D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Malik Beasly all helped guide the Lakers to their 26th win of the season, beating the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

Only one of the newly acquired players made the start last night, and that was guard D’Angelo Rusell.

Russell was solid in his debut, and after the win spoke to the media and was asked how he could fit alongside LA’s superstar duo.

“I don’t know. I think it’s going to be an experience. Obviously, what they have going works, so for me to fit in with them, I gotta figure out how I can fit. I think that’s going to happen over time and experience. We got a few games left; it’s not like we have the whole season ahead of us, so making every moment count. I think communication is going to smooth that process and make it efficient.”

D-Lo put up 15 points, five rebounds, and six assists while shooting 50% from the field in his return to LA.

Even though LeBron could not join his newly revamped team, AD and Russell did their best to build chemistry in their first game together.

Russell can space the flow for James and Davis as he can hit open shots, create his own shot, and take some of the playmaking duties off James.

Time is of the essence with the Lakers; if they could hit a stride from now till the end of the season, the Lakers could be a tough out come playoff time.
